The Story: My wife and I owned a Automobilia Shop in So Cal, w we sold NASCAR diecast, hot rod t-shirts, Hot Wheels, models....car stuff. We became friends with an older guy and one day he came in with this "book". He said his wife was doing some house cleaning and she did not care about his stuff and was worried that she would throw this old book away. He said that during the 50's his dad owned an auto body shop in LA and that Von Dutch worked for him for a while doing painting and pinstriping. Von Dutch gave him this little book when he was a kid. He then gave this little day planner to me saying that he knew I'd apprciated it and take care of it. I've had it in my desk drawer since he gave it to me in the mid 90's. It's time to pass it on to someone who will also appreciate it and maybe display it for more people to see. I was thinking about a website even. Anyways it's up for bid. Also, not too long after I got this book I took it too a car show that Ed Roth was at and showed it to him. He loved it, laughed and then asked me if I was selling it. Of course I said no. He said "Too bad" and thanked me for showing it to him. The day planner is dated 1954, but it looks like Von Dutch did his art work in it during 1957 based on the references to Sputnik and a little "57" next to a signature on the first page.
