This is a 1907 "sword" bayonet, intended to fit the SMLE No.1 Mk III. A great piece of history from the worlds greatest war, the war to end all wars. They were made by many different manufactures. The overall length of the bayonet is 22". The hilt length is 4-3/4", blade length is 17" long by 15/16" wide by 1/4" thick (at ricasso).; fullered groove is 12-1/2" in length. There are several markings on the blade. Both sides show many different numbers, symbols, and markings. I have included 12 close up pictures so you can judge the condition of the item for yourself. Everyone has a different idea of grading, so this will provide you with everything you need to know to make the best decision.
