In this auction we are offering an original hand signed autograph by William T. Sherman (1820-1891). Promoted to the rank of Major General in the Union Army during the Civil War, his commands included the Army of the Tennessee, and the Military Division of Mississippi. The autograph is written in black ink, and reads:" I am with you, W. T. Sherman, Maj. Genl.". The autograph is clean and free of smudges. It is written on a piece of paper measuring 3.75" X 1.25."
