Original WW2 US Army M1 Garand Jeep leather scabbard is marked U.S. J.Q.M.D. 1943 E.N.S.J.Q.M.D. is an abbreviation for the Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot. There is also another marking, "E.N.S.", which is a manufacturer's marking.Scabbard is in good condition with wear and tear from age and use. There are stains, scuffs and discoloration to the leather. There is some oxidation/verdigris to the metal hooks, buckles and metal parts of the scabbard. The end plug is in perfect condition! Scabbard and straps are made out of leather. The leather on the scabbard is not cracked or fragile, but lower belt has one belt hole that is torn (see photo). Scabbard is approximately 30 inches long.This scabbard was most commonly mounted on WWII era Jeeps or other military vehicles to carry the M1 Garand Rifle when not in use.Sale includes 1 original leather M1 Garand vehicle scabbard.
