Up for auction is an original WWI British Pattern 1914 large pack complete with broad arrow. It is the 3rd issue P14 large pack with tongued buckles on the back, twigg buckles on the front & grommeted angled tabs at the top. This item is described by Karkee Web using the following URL.../patterns/1914/components/1914_packs.htmlThis pack is in good condition for its age, with almost no fraying or holes in the webbing. This pack was not blancoed, but the khaki web does show a great deal of fading (to be expected from an item that is nearly 100 years old). In addition to the broad arrow, you can see part of the makers mark, which looks like BUR?HAM ?? ??????. It is interesting to note that the front and back panels are a khaki webbing while the side panels are a greener shade.This is a great looking pack and will greatly improve any WWI collection!Be sure to check out my 1915 DATED P14 BRACES that I will be listing shortly!Thanks for looking!
