ORIGINAL WWII ARMY AIR FORCES TAYLOR WRIST COMPASS GREAT WORKING CONDITION This is the genuine Taylor wrist compass. Compass is in great condition - especially considering its age. The bevel turns freely. The compass has no cracks or deep scratches on it. The luminous paint is still visible. Like most Taylor wrist compasses of this age the damping liquid has evaporated and the original strap is missing. Please review all the photos that show the condition. This WWII Taylor wrist compass has become a collector's item - and one in this condition is hard to find.Note that this compass, officially known as “Compass, Wrist, Liquid-filled”, was made by two manufacturers, Superior Magneto and Taylor. The Taylor models have become the most desirable to collectors. Only the Taylor models have the signature on the bezel, the slightly bevelled bezel, one arrow at N and three round holes at S E W filled with luminous paint, the recesses for the luminous markers, the spiral inside, and the full markings on the back - as the photos show this one has.
