Original German WWII M35 or M40 Stahlhelm Steel Helmet shell. Size 064.Remains of double decals. On the right side, the national tri-color shield can be made out. Lots of surface rust, but plenty of good steel beneath it. Could be sanded down and repainted or displayed as is.The only real damage that the rust has caused is at the vent holes, see pictures. This is why I cannot tell if this is an M35 or M40.
