ORIGINAL WORLD WAR II PHOTO - ORIGINAL PHOTO OF THE TIME - NOT A REPRO, COPY, OR SCANQUANTITY: 1 SUBJECT: Captured German Me 262 Jet Fighter parked along a German Autobahn highway, 1945. Photo taken by Private Scullion.SIZE: 3" x 5"DATE: circa 1945 CONDITION: Very Good; no flaws. BACK: blankSOURCE: From PRIVATE PAUL LEO SCULLION of Stark County, Ohio. Trained at Fort Ord, California. Machine Gunner on a 2-1/2 ton truck. Was possibly in a combat engineer battalion. Served during World War II in England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. Participated in Operation Market Garden in September 1944, invasion and occupation of Germany in 1945 (Siegfried Line, Karlsruhe, Heidelberg, Bad Nauheim, etc). Took leave in Paris and Switzerland. Took pictures everyw! . I am listing Scullion's war photos in the Photographic, Postcards, and WWII categories.
