We can provide you one light, or hundreds of lights, and most orders can ship the same business day, or at the very latest, the next business day.In this auction, you are bidding the two original cast brass ceiling lights shown in the above photos. After removing the paint and polishing these lights we have made three modifications to these lights. First, we have removed the old wiring and bulb socket, and installed new. Our wiring is and socket is UL Listed and rated to work with any voltage under 250 volts. The new bulb socket takes a common house bulb of 100 watts or less. The second modification was to install nice threaded brass plugs in the original two conduit holes on the side of the housing, and to drill a new hole in the center of the mounting surface so the new wires can exit the light and not be seen. The third modification was to install the awesome 8 inch brass deflector cover to the light in an effort to make it a better looking design. These are original cast brass nautical lights salvaged from ship's being dismantled after years at sea. Each light will extend out from the mounting surface by just over 9 inches. The mounting base has three mount holes so you will need a surface area for the installation that is about 5 inches square. If you have an existing junction box in the mounting surface, this light will cover it and the light will attach to the wall, not the junction box. To access the bulb, the cage spins off, and then you spin off the undamaged glass globes. The deflector cover is attached to the top housing of the light, but for installation is can be removed by taking out three screws. Each light weighs 6 1/2 pounds. These are well built lights that can be installed on interior or exterior projects.
