Twtybg's Unique Estate Finds Original Flight Manual: A-20 G Havoc Bomber This auction is for an original vintage US Air Force flight manual. The title page reads: T.O. No. 01-40AL-1. July 30, 1943. Pilot's Flight Operating Instructions. Army Models A-20G-1 DO, A-20G-5-DO, A-20G-10-DO, A-20G-15-DO, A-20G-20-DO and Subsequent. Note: This Technical Order replaces T.O. No. 01-40AL-1 dated March 10, 1943. The plane description reads: The A-20G attach bomber airplane is a twin engined mid-wing monoplane with a tricycle landing gear. It is powered by two Wright double row Cyclone engines, Model GR 2600-23, and equipped with Hamilton Standard hydromatic propellers. The tactical mission of this airplane is to lend responsive bombing support to the ground forces by destruction of ground of naval personnel and light material targets, to attack and disperse troops by gunfire, and to destroy aircraft both on the ground an in the air. Provisions are also made for laying of smoke screens and the carrying of torpedo attacks against naval units. This manual is full of information and neat images/photos. 116 pages. This manual is in very good condition. The folder came with the manual at the sale. There is some writing on the inside of the cover. Sold as-is, as shown.
