An exact replica of the "hemming clamp" made for Marshall Field's in 1890, and found in Grandma's sewing basket since 1853... this is the fellow who introduced Mary frances to the Thimble People in the bestselling sewing book. Commonly used in the Victorian home, this "third hand" clamps to a table while the beck holds the fabric to be sewn.
