This is an unusual estate sale find - and I know little about it. It is apparently called an Italian Wedding Cup. It measures 3 1/4" at the base and 4" across the top arms - and is 7 1/4" tall. The very ornate piece is some type of metal. Being no expert on metals, I am not sure what.. possibly silverplated or pewter or... ? The insides of the top and bottom cups are golden in color. T is a pink rhinestone in the center of the lady's back. The skirt of her dress is a large cup, while the "bride" appears to be offering the smaller, swinging cup at the top - to the groom, perhaps ? This piece seems to be unmarked so I have no idea who made it or when. It appears to be in excellent condition with no damage that I can spot.
