For your consideration at auction is an ornate designed sterling silver teapot marked on the bottom with the Gorham trademark of a lion, anchor & B and reading "Sterling A5715 7/8 Pint". Also impressed on the underside is a small bell and the number 10. The name Gorham does not appear, however, we believe this to be the Gorham logo. Underside of hinged lid is impressed "sterling 10". The piece has highly ornate detailing of roses and vines - duplicated on both sides and along the spout base. Engraved on one side in center of floral design is "1901" while opposite side is engraved with letter "R". Piece does have two medium sized dings - close to one another - as seen in picture - directly below the handle connection area. Also a slight ding on opening edge - very minor. Handle has two insets - perhaps ivory - or ivory colored material. Teapot measures 8" tall to top of hinged lid. 6" from spout tip to handle edge and 2 1/2" diameter base. Piece needs cleaning, spiffing up and polishing. Any Questions, Please Ask.
