This is a vintage Modernist Silver & Amber stone Broche by ORNO of Poland. The following information was found online… ORNO, was an artists' cooperative founded in 1949 in Warsaw, Poland. The museum in Gliwice, Poland, features some of their work, and said this on their website: "A large group of jewelry comes from the 'ORNO' co-operative, responsible for the shape of the post-war goldsmiths in the 1950s and 1960s." A professor at the Art Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences said "Some Warsaw cooperatives, especially the popular Orno and Plastyka, supplied the market with silver jewelry decorated with a wide range of floral and abstract motifs. Warsaw occupies an important place in the postwar history of Polish silver jewellery." Please see my other items, if you have any questions please ask.
