Vicke Lindstrand's initial L and numbered; this is a deeply engraved copper wheel cut lead crystal blown glass vase by the Swedish master. From the Orrefors Glass Company and before 1940, it stands 11 inches tall. Graceful and subtle, the artist provides an elegant female form. Accompanied by engraved birds in flight, the detail of the female figure with hands outreached is masterfully created and innocently portrayed. Signed in needle-etched script, Orrefors L 2616 with additional markings, it has heavy base wear. The condition is good with a small impact at the front an inch below the rim with other moderate exterior surface blemishes. With dynamic lighting it easily becomes a visual Vicke Lindstrand art glass masterpiece treat. Buyer pays flat rate USPS shipping and handling of $9.50 plus insurance within the USA.
