Description: Oscar Quezada Mata Ortiz Marbled Clay Pottery Olla. Marbled clay pottery olla with red and black geometric designs by Mata Ortiz potter Oscar Quezada. Oscar Gonzales Quezada is the oldest son of Consolation Quezada. He was one of the first members of the second generation of Mata Ortiz potters. He began making pots in the late 1970s only a few years after his mother. During that time he also worked with his uncles Nicolas and Reynaldo and assisted his mother with forming and painting her ollas. Most of his pieces are produced Paquime and Mimbres designs. Signed on bottom. Approx.
