This is a really beautiful and large vase by the famous English potters, Poole Pottery. It is in mint condition and is like-new. The colors are deep and rich and vibrant, and the piece has the famous "living glaze" that Poole is known for (see the close-up and also their website www. ). Their pieces are glazed in such a way so as to encourage this beautiful and rich crazing and color contrast. This piece is 8" tall and has a high-gloss finish (which is why you see so many reflections in my photos). The interior of the vase is glazed as well in a cream high-gloss glaze. The vase is marked Poole Pottery England on the base and t looks to be the letter V hand-inscribed as well, which could be for the artist Victoria Higginbotham. Please note that the horizontal band of light color you see in the photos is actually the reflection of the sheet that I had the vase sitting on when I photographed it.
