Although the OVERSPEED CLUB has only been available for a few weeks, it is quickly becoming one of the most used training aids by professional long drive competitors. Several VERY succesful competitors from the 2007 and 2008 World Long Drive Championships are now using the OVERSPEED CLUB as a critical part of their training for the 2009 season. Overspeed training is simply the most effective method for gaining speed in the golf swing. If you always train at or below your normal swing speed your muscles won’t know how to go faster. Overspeed training involves putting your body into a gear that it normally doesn’t reach. The OVERSPEED CLUB will allow you to put the golf swing into that extra gear. This OVERSPEED CLUB is similar to a standard driver but its unique in that the clubheads weight is manufactured to weigh much less than a standard driver head. The OVERSPEED CLUB has a head weight of 140 grams compared to 200 grams for a normal standard driver head. By reducing the head weight by 30% you will be able to practice unleashing and contracting the golf specific muscles faster than you can with your normal driver. This training aid will teach you how speed works. In training I stress that the most important swing thought to have while training with the OVERSPEED CLUB is that I want you to feel like you are swinging twice as fast for the first few inches of the downswing than what you do with their normal driver. No other golf training aid on the market is going to allow you to practice transitioning from the top of the backswing to the start of the downswing FASTER! You have to start FAST to be fast at impact!If you take the time to search the internet, you'll see that overspeed training is used by baseball players to make extraordinary gains in batspeed and pitching velocity. The Olympic's 100 meter sprint is the purest speed event of them all. Sprinters use techniques like sprinting down a slight (about 2°) downhill slope to force the body into experiencing faster speeds. Another method sprinters utilize is having two runners attached to each other by a bungee cord, the lead runner takes off well in front of the trail runner and builds tension on the bungee cord. The tension on the bungee cord assists the trail runner to sprint much faster than if he were unassisted. Multiple rehearsals at faster than normal speeds build memories in the brain called engrams. By simply experiencing the golf swing at extreme speeds you are able to gain the knowledge of how to make the brain and muscles work together to create speed. By continuing to train and rehearse a faster firing pattern of the nervous system with the OVERSPEED club it soon becomes second nature when you use your own driver. Over the first 3 weeks of training, you'll be have trained and rehearsed enough to equip you with the ability to call upon your body at any time to create 10 to 16 mph more swing speed.
