OX21 Post Office Seal on 1943 Cover from London, England to New York City. Franking includes five King George VI 1 shilling stamps, tied by Registered handstamps from Newman St. Handstamp reading "Passed At British Philatelic Assn. / Consignment," signed and dated in center. London Registered sticker on face. Faded tape on edge. I can read the words "Examined By" on the tape, I don't know if it's censor tape or it's from Customs officials. Customs handstamp on face and another on reverse from the Philatelic Dept. (or Unit, or something simillar, the "Dep't" isn't legible). Post office seal on reverse, initialed. Numerous handstamped postmarks. CONDITION: Fine. Some wear and toning. Slit open at bottom. Shipping to Germany and Italy is by Registered Mail only.
