A beautiful medium amethyst purple antique milk bottle with unusual embossing.... 77 DRAMS M.P.CO. SEALED 5W (bold emb in circle slug plate on front) 6 1/8"tall....half pint....round....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle with a bit of light haze, but not bad. THIS IS A FIXED PRICE, BUY IT NOW BOTTLE FOR SALE IN MY STORE. BUYER TO PAY POSTAGE OF $5.50 IN THE U.S.A. I will no longer ship anything out of the U.S.A for under $30 unless you contact me first. The postal service just keeps raising their rates and getting much more careless with packages. I do the best I can to pack carefully, so I cannot be responsible if something gets broken due to extremely rough handling in the mail. Insurance is an option The beautiful amethyst or purple color of this glass is a result of the presence of manganese in the glass, which was a decolorizer to turn the glass clear. Glass that contains manganese, when exposed to ultraviolet rays of the sun or other sources of UV rays, causes the glass to turn amethyst. Some of my amethyst bottles and glass are purpled from years of exposure to natural sunlight.
