We paid no less than $280 for our smallest, most worn seals. Although we suffer terrible losses now, they will only get worse due to the sheer numbers of fakes (so we are selling while we can). Some have gone to Sotheby's and Bonham's, the rest are being sold this month (never to collect or sell again, as we are amidst all frauds and fakes- a very disappointing realization so many buyers are spending their hard earned money on seals they know nothing about (it is easy to tell the fakes, believe it or not-maybe because I am an antiquarian). Seal does not roll, being frozen in antiquity; entire piece as a whole is in excellent condition considering age & conditions of discovery.
