This is a antique pre-linen postcard, captioned "Interior Opera House After the Fire, January 13th, 1908, Boyertown, PA." In the lower right corner it says Pub. by J. O'Donnell Estate. On the back (and some on the front) is a handwritten account of the fire, which reads "This is an interior view of the Boyertown Opera House which burned down on Jan. 13 in which 179 people were burned to death. Some of them were burned so bad they could not be recognized at all.
