Includes window sheet and two sheets of decals as well as instructions on where decals are placed and notes on history, painting and finishing from Pacific Fast Mail. I have the complete Pacific Fast Mail Amtrak Superliner consist including all cars and engines. So check back every week to see which new brass pieces are up for no-reserve auction!---Excerpt from paperwork:When Amtrak was first formed in 1971, its fleet consisted of second-hand equipment purchased from those railroads still operating passenger trains. This fleet was twenty to thirty years old on the average, and badly in need of replacement. Amtrak struggled through its early years with this fleet, suffering countless mainenance problems associated with ill-matched and outworn equipment. Envisioned for the future, though, were entirely new trains, electrically heated and cooled from locomotive-supplied power. These cars would serve the major Western transcontinental routes. The Pullman-Standard Division of Pullman Incorporated, with a century old tradition of passenger car building, was awarded the contract for the new trains, which were named SUPERLINER.
