New in its original box. When purchased, I installed a Kadee coupler and gave it a short test run to the first curve. It ran perfectly but since I have 22" curves, that was the extent of operation. The engine has been in storage almost thirty years since then. The only thing that got a little poor looking was the foam around the engine & tender. I discarded that foam to prevent a mess of little pieces. There is a slight discoloration of red on the right cylinder and valve gear hanger from the foam. If the engine is sold, I would ship it in bubble wrap in the original box. Included separately with the engine is a boiler weight. Aside from the foam, the box is in very good condition. (Note that the engine was made in Korea by SKI)
