THE TRAIL OF PAINTED PONIES was a New Mexico based public art project in 2000. Native American and Southwest artists imaginatively transformed life-sized horses into original, magnificent works of art. Westland Giftware has replicated these masterpieces in fabulous and exquisite detail. They rapidly have become one of the HOTTEST COLLECTIBLES IN AMERICA . QUARTERHORSE * LARGE 9" * 1E/0438 THIS PONY IS MINT, NEVER REMOVED FROM THE BOX. QUARTERHORSE was a member of the Summer 2003 release. This was only the second herd of Painted Ponies ever created. QUARTERHORSE was retired in September 2004. A collector's favorite, QUARTERHORSE was retired in September 2004 before two full editions were even created (last number created was 2e6800). Long ago sold out in stores QUARTERHORSE is becoming scarce, especially the large version. It's not often seen on Ebay. Artist is Kathy Morawski.
