The painting is signed by the artist. Artist Information Paul F Austin is proud to describe himself as an English artist and tutor and is best known for the great variety of his subjects: Portraits, landscapes, seascapes – and he produces works varying in size and choice of medium from pencil to oil – including water-colour, pen and ink and acrylic. He also enjoys producing cartoons – especially those concerned with Golf. He is currently tutoring at the popular Southlands Art Centre, near The Green, West Drayton in Middlesex , UK . Artists whose influence, inspire and inform his painting include Monet, John Singer-Sargent, Van Gogh, Klimt, Lempicka and in fact a multitude of others – including his close friend, Henri Norman, a French Canadian, who now lives in England. His works are mainly in Private Collections and he has only recently started selling his works on Ebay where he has found considerable success. He is proud to have in his possession a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ in art from one of the popular newspapers of the time, dated 1947. He served in the RAF for six years and was involved in theatre and Art productions in RAF Jever in North Germany where he was the Assistant Stage Manager and Props Artist, and also at RAF Chivenor in North Devon .
