We have for sale a pair of excellent old Chinese soapstone bookends? Carved out of quite an unusual coloured stone which has the appearance of white Jade. Each bookend is well carved with images of dragons and fine detailing to the base. In very good antique condition, there are a few very minor little nibbles to one or two ends here or there, which is commensurate with old soapstone, please see photos.They measure 5.5 inches high, 4.5 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Please note, these are heavy solid pieces, and weigh 2.4kg unpackaged and will be posted by courier. Please retain the damaged packaging as evidence. I will refund the money as soon as I receive the cheque from Royal Mail. Please note, Royal Mail does not refund packing costs and a refund for postage fees is at their discretion. Items are also sometimes sent by courier, especially items going overseas and weighing more than 2KG. But, please be aware that couriers will not pay out for damage to any breakables, they will only pay out if a package is completely lost.
