Pair Antique English Silver Covered VEGETABLE TUREENS We are clearing an estate, and we have some French and English items. If your are interested in anything specific, email us and we will let you know what we have. This fantastic pair of silver plated vegetable tureens was made in England c. 1860. The rim of the bowl was done in a gadroon border as well as the top of the cover and the base of the handle. The top of the handle was done in a beaded design, and can also be removed for storage. Inside the tureen t is a Mazarin with a pierced design that allows the vegetables to be drained. Underneath the Mazarin t is another bowl that can be removed if more water needs to be drained. T are handles on each side in order to carry the piece with ease. This piece stands on four legs and would be a wonderful addition to your table. MONOGRAM: Crest and PAR? MEASUREMENTS: Height: 6.5" (with lid), Length: 13.75", Width: 9.25" WEIGHT: Approx 204 troy oz (together) HALLMARK: Makers Mark (picture #2) CONDITION: This piece is in good condition and has regular surface use from wear and age. The rim of the cover is slightly bent. The inside of the cover has some bleeding and scratches. The silver plating on the removable tray is worn on the inside and on the bottom.
