We are pleased to offer this extraordinary pair of antique, 19th Century, demilune tables. The pair are somewhat unique with French and English influences. There are components of Victorian, Arts and Crafts as well as Aesthetic Movement design. This matched pair are solid wood (walnut, pine?) with gorgeous carved details. The tops feature lovely graining with beveled and scalloped edges. The skirted sections under the tops have inset carvings and rose medallions on all three sides. Rose swags are present on the upper front legs. The legs are quite beautiful with spooled design. The stretcher consists of 4 carved wood sections that meet together in the center. A turned wood finial completes the stretcher section. The tables have a French or English Victorian design. They are constructed with large flat screws. They are in extremely nice antique condition. There are no major scratches or dings. There is some minor separation on the top edge of one table where the wood sections are connected. This is not distracting and does not affect the structural integrity of the table at all. The tables are VERY STURDY with no wobbling. Because of their design, the tables can be placed back to back for a beautiful entry or large side table. These are simply gorgeous and it is truly rare to find a pair of 19th century tables in this condition.
