ITEM DESCRIPTION PAIR Antique OAK BARLEY TWIST Neo GOTHIC Signed CHAIRS This is a very attractive pair of Gothic Revival chairs that were made c1900-1920. They are oak, with barley twist legs and stretchers as well as barley twist side columns. The seat and back is caned. The corners are well finished with ball finials on the top and rosettes on the corners of the seats. These attractive chairs bear their original paper label (see last photo) which says B&S Co. Little is known about this company - we've seen this label before on high quality chairs but our research has been unable to determine the full name of the maker. Please any of the photos to examine item in detail. Age (circa) c1890-1920. Dimensions Each measures 19" x 20" x 38" high to the top of the back and the seats are 18" High Condition Good estate condition. Sturdy. No damage or repairs. Finish is original and the caning also appears to be original. Only the most minor signs of age and/or finish wear that are commensurate with age and use.
