Offered is a very decorative pair ofSolid Brass Military Epaulettes.The Epaulettes measure 6 1/2 inches inlength and are 4 inches at their widest.They have a very nice scallope effecton the long portion - with a raised roundedlip around the end of the shoulder. Thereare stylized horns or bugles on each piecewhich can be removed. There are also holesin the center of each horn/bugle - I do not knowwhat these holes were for.the pieces are backed in leather - which canalso be removed. I bought a pair of these years ago - which I have framed for my personal collection. (Pleasesee photo #6 for an example) At that time I wastold that the epaulettes were U.S.Calvary fromthe Cival War Era. The pair that I am offering were purchased abouttwo years ago and I was told by the seller that theywere from a European Officers Dress Uniform. Theyare the same shape/size as my original pair except for the horn/bugles.I have done a bit of research - but have not been ableto find another pair.
