Stunning pair of Art Deco nude ladies bronze clad bookends from the 1930's. They are exquisite! The deco ladies are sitting on a rock with one leg bent up, and with arms around the bent knee. They have art nouveau hairdos, and they are looking up with a dreamy look on their face. They are made out of a bronze metal over another material (also known as "bronze clad" or "bronzeart"), and they have excellent detail. The overall measurement is 7-1/2" tall, 3-1/2" long, and 3-1/4" wide. There are no signatures or manufacture marks that we could find, but they are quality. The condition is excellent - there are no chips, breaks, cracks, or repairs. The estimated value was $350.00 to $400.00 according to the estate. Our reserve is only $175.00 for the pair. These fabulous deco lady bookends came from an estate in San Francisco, and are vintage. They have a great deco look - very stunning and unique. Pictures don't do them justice. They are quality pieces, and would make a wonderful addition to someone's collection. Buyer pays shipping. Thank you for bidding.
