Charming coast views, each identified on verso; includes Savin Rock in Connecticut and Nahant, Massachusetts. 9 1/4"h. 12 1/4"w, in their original gilt frames, 14 1/4"h. 17 1/4"w.Both locales were popular resort destinations for the wealthy during America's Gilded Age. Savin Rock had a carousel (erected in the 1870s) and ferry service between Savin Rock, New Haven, and Lighthouse Point. Nahant, with its resort hotels and amusement rides, was known as the playground for Boston Society.Condition: Each with yellowed varnish; both frames repainted.
