PAIR ANTIQUEVINTAGE ART DECO GREEN & CREAM BAKELITE SALT AND PEPPER POTS 1920s 30s 40s Thismismatched pair of Art Deco salt and pepper pots are made of early plastic, possibly Bakelite, and date back to the 1920s-40s. One is green with a black screw-on base, the other is cream with a black screw-on base. The green pot is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND" and "A.I." on the base, the white pot is unmarked. They are both large in size and have great Art Deco shapes - the cream pot is bullet shaped with a ribbed decoration and the green pot is hexagonal with a fluted bottom and icicle decoration on each side of the hexagon. This is a great looking pair, which would make a great addition to an Art Deco themed dining room or kitchen. I am also selling a set of 6 Bakelite egg cups and a pair of Bakelite sugar/preserve pots this week. Measurements: Height (excluding lid): 4 ⅜ inches (11 cm) and 4 ¼ inches (10 ½ cm) Diameter of base: 2 ⅜ inches (6 cm) and 2 ½ inches (6 ¼ cm) Condition: The cream pot is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, with only as small spot mark (visible in photo 5). The green pot has a small chip on one of the hexagonal sides (photo 3), a chip on the base (photo 4) and some wear around the holes (photo 6).
