First let me tell you that I know nothing about clocks. I found a few old clocks at an estate sale and they were so interesting I decided to bid on them. I will be starting them low with no reserve, have fun t may be a real prize in these lots. If I do not specify then you should assume the clock is not running and I cannot say whether any keep the right time. No Reserve This auction is for a very nice pair of vintage alarm clock, called WESTCLOX BIG BEN by Western Clock Company of La Salle, Illinois. On the back t are several patent dates, one ends with Feb. 10, 191? and the other is clearly April 15 1913. These classically designed clocks are made of a silver metal (chrome or nickel plated) and are quite heavy. Metal is tarnished in the back , more shiny in the front but with some denting on the face rim. Each Measures 5-1/4 inches wide and 6 inches tall. I did wind them and each ticks but I don't know how well it works. At the top of the clock has manual controls for the alarm; "steady", "repeat", "silent" and "alarm". The white faceplate has large black numbers and a gold interior border. One is missing a peg leg and the other has a crack on the face glass; between the two you could come up with one really nice one. Could be good for collecting, parts, wearing, repairing whatever.
