One chair sustains gapping between the back and the wooden support on its left side. Same chair sustains a 1.5` scratch to the back and a 1` chip to the front right leg, towards the bottom. Overall light wear, especially at edges and corners. Both sustain some wear to the wood around the feet of the griffins; could imply that griffins have been replaced or restored at one point. Upholstery not original to the piece; sustains slight staining but no tears or heavy wear. Both chairs are structurally sound, no wobble. Both appear to be period (19th century) Empire pieces and not 20th century reproductions.
