A pair of postcards relating to GAR or Civil War veterans. The first pictures a Union soldier shaking hands with a Conferate soldier (CSA logo visible with a magnifying lens on cartridge pack) under a flag drapery. Small insets of Grant and Jeff Davis (I assume) portraits on each side. Caption states "The Veterans of "62 in Defense of the Flag" and "For sale by Veteran Art Co., Minneapolis, MN" off to the right side. Postally unused but does have some writing (4 words in larger script writing) on the backside. Corners slightly bumped otherwise fine condition. The second postcard pictures the US Flag with a patriotic motto above it. Caption below states "G.A.R., Minneapolis, Minn., Aug. 13-18, 1906." I assume this in reference to a GAR meeting. Postally unused, no writing, slightly bumped corners, fine condition. High bidder pays $1.00 first class shipping. Insurance optional. Thanks for looking. Please check out my other auctions.
