PAIR OF QUARTER SAWN OAK FLUTED COLUMNS CIRCA 1900's Presented for auction is a pair of Oak columns. The columns are a total of 74 3/4 inches. With 5 1/4" wide x 6 1/4" tall flat turned bases, then approximately 9" x 4" flat turnings, then 56 1/2" fluted columns approximately 3 3/4" to 3", topped with carved solid oak capitals 3" tall, 5" wide and 4 1/4" deep. This pair is painted white over heavy varnish causing a heavy crackling from top to bottom. They are in very good as found condition with no damage to the wood. I did sand off some paint on the back side and they appear to be quarter sawn Oak Solid top to bottom. (Please see pictures for details.) Circa approximately 1900 - 1910.
