SET OF TWOTHONET FRERES: CHAIR No. 2 park yours on one small part of whirl and curl history background Thonet No. 2 chair with arms (c. 1865) was manufactured using a procedure invented in 1841 by Michael Thonet, whodesigned the final prototype for the Daum cafe in Viennain 1849, featuring a back rest and back legs made from asingle piece, a rounded cane or laminated seat and added front legs.Thonet later organized mass production of the different components which were combined to make several differentmodels, i.e. the singular difference being the design of the ornamentation to the backrest).
