You are bidding on a pair of statues you don’t see every day. These are a pair of Qing Dynasty men of rank. Civil servants of the royal court of the Manchu. They are dressed in the garb which describes what they do, and who they are, but the exact meaning are unclear. One holds a Ru-yi (scepter) and may be a diplomat, or ambassador. His coat has dragons embroidered on it. The other holds a branch. It is a crane image on his coat. They wear a long queue, braided nearly to the floor. They have a rank badge on the back. Please see the photos for these details. One is marked CHINA, the other has no marking. Circa 100 - 130 years or older, these are approx 6.75 and 7 “ tall and in excellent condition. Great details in clothing and expression on this handmade pair of figures. Have included photo of the other items sold separately. This are very hard to find figures. Thanks and best to you.
