we are pleased to offer for auction a stunning pair of vintage cast brass ram's head sculptures and/or table bases. perfect for kelly wearstler/jonathan adler hollywood regency decor, these are one of the hottest (and rarest) vintage decorating items out t! (check out a similar table in last month's metropolitan home). in great vintage condition, with some signs of age/tarnishing, these ram or gazelle heads are each 17 1/12 tall, 19" wide, and about a foot across at widest spread of horns. the horns themselves are attached to the heads via 4 bolts, and they have 2 adjustable feet at the bottom for leveling if used as table bases. this pair does not include the glass shown, but they were designed to be used as table bases. they are not the steadiest bases ever, so i recommend you use them more as sculpture than a a put your feet up kind of coffee table. they do function as a table though- i was shown a picture by the original owner showing them in use as a coffee table with an oval glass that looked to be approxamently 48" by 24". we've shown them with a 30" round, purloined from a glit metal sheaf of wheat table, and they are as steady with the round as when round is on it's original base. as stated, this style of table is white hot, and when available can cost many thousands in retail galleries (see web capture), so be sure to bid
