Here is a pair of original1956 California license plates with a 1959 sticker. They are in fair to good condition. The corners of the 1959 sticker have been chipped off to reveal the corner of a green 1958 sticker underneath. The rear plate is straight but does have some scratches and some chips and scratches around the edge, which would not show when in a frame. The front plate has some dents and scratches. There is a bend that runs from the upper left bolt hole to the bottom, through the Z and between the bottoms of the Z and the 8. There is a sharp protruding dent in the upper loop of the B, and parts of the G and B are smashed. The left edge is bent. Some of this could be straightened fairly easily, but I never had much luck doing it, so I am leaving it up to someone who is good at it. They would still look good when in frames. Not perfect, but would be great for a “driver”. Please look at the photos carefully and email me if you have any questions. I checked these with the DMV and the response came back “record not on file”.
