I have for your consideration these two Silhouette pictures on convex glass with a colored back ground to show depth to the characters and scenery. the frames are not wood I am unsure if they are plaster, bisque or chalk. I believe plaster? around the top and sides of frame work are detailed design with a touch of gold to bring out the detail. the frames are 7 x 6-1/4 inches wide and the glass is slightly bigger than 3-1/4 inches wide. the characters are a mother dressed in her Sunday best full gown and bonnet as well as daughter with a bow in her hair and the son has a sailors suite on which would make me to believe these to be from the 40's or much earlier. in one the boy is flying a kite with mom and daughter watching and the other all holding hands walking while having a conversation. the back ground in both shows a blue sky with clouds and mountain land scape. I had purchased these vintage/antique pictures from a lovely old home in Buffalo NY. last year and is time for you to make a new home for them. there is small dings in the fram and on the bottom of the picture of boy holding kite has a very small piece missing in the ornate design. there is no water damage or any other defects and are quite rare with these characters and frame. any questions please email me. delivery conformation and tracking are included in shipping.
