Pair of WWII Air Transport Command, Contract Carrier, Shoulder Loop or Cap pin. Bronze with pin back. About 1.25 inches in diameter. Marked "Bastion Bros Co Rochester, NY". Guaranteed to be original. Nice condition. Pin depicts the Kitty Hawk monument and writing around the edge is taken from the monument. Says "Achieved By Dauntless Resolution and unconquerable faith." During WWII the US airlines were brought under military control and the airline personnel wore uniforms similar to the regular Army Air Force except the buttons and other insignia were bronze colored.
