Circular cupro-nickel medal with claw, ornate scroll and bar suspension with 'KASHMIR 1948' clasp; the face with the star and crescent of Pakistan centrally within a jasmine wreath, inscribed above ‘Khidmat-i-Pakistan’ (In the Service of Pakistan); the reverse plain but for a circle; age-toned; on original ribbon with the green and white of Pakistan bordering dark blue, red and light blue stripes representative of each of the three arms of the Pakistan armed forces. The medal was instituted in 1947 to reward service to Pakistan by members of the armed forces and is awarded with bars for participation in specific campaigns. A good early example. NO RESERVE
