Palissy Style Majolica Wall Plaques Vintage x 2 - Snake and Frog For auction is this lovely pair of vintage small Majolica wall plaques each depicting a stand off between a Frog and a Snake. Both 5.75" in diameter and approximately 2" high at their highest point. Both snake heads have been broken off but when I bought them them they were attached quite well and I didn't notice this until the rubber type glue used to attach them became warm. The join could be virtually unseen with the correct adhesive. Only other point is very slight contact marks on one piece that do not detract at all in my opinion. I do not know the makers mark but assume these to be Portuguese in origin. Low start price with no reserve.
