PAPAGO / TOHO'NO-O-OTAM COILED BASKET DEVIL'S CLAW, YUCCA, BEAR GRASS DESCRIPTION: This is a Papago Coiled Basket. It is made of Devil's Claw and Yucca sewn over a bundle of Bear Grass. The Basket is distinctive and features the influence of traditional weaving with an added contemporary styling. It is hand woven and hand coiled in a traditional Coyote Tracks Design. Sun bleached Yucca is coiled around Bear Grass Bundles in a close, tight weave and features a hand coiled center of Yucca spiraling outward. The edge of the Basket is turned upward approximately 7/8". The Basket is finished with a hand coiled rim. The Outer Coil is finished with a Whip-Stitch of Devil's Claw. This is a True Native American Piece that can be enjoyed the years to come. MEASUREMENTS: Coiled Basket - 9" Round (Edge is Turned Up Approximately 7/8") Weighs - 164 grams or 5.7 ounces CONDITION: No loose stitches and no fading. Like new condition.
