This is a Papua New Guinea very old stone axe with tree branch handle. The handle measures 28-1/2". The part that holds the axe head is 10" from end to end (including protruding part of stone) The handle is 6" at the widest point.The stone is loose in the handle but that's the way it was when I got it.I do my best to accurately describe the item. Since most of my items are antique, vintage or used, I do not overstate the obvious signs of age that are innt in these items.
