~*~ PARABLES from NATURE Mrs. GATTY ~*~ FIRST SERIES 1885 & SECOND SERIES 1886 BOUND TOGETHER ~*~ GEORGE BELL AND SONS LONDON ~*~ By Margaret Scott Gatty (1809 - 1873, children's writer) with a memoir by her daughter Juliana Horatio Ewing (1841 - 1885, children's writer) ~*~ Red textured cloth decorated with gilt title lettering on cover and spine, but very heavily rubbed on spine and edges. Cover still solid and complete, though slightly bowed. ~*~ Green marbled endpapers, but front endpaper missing and spine about 2/3 separated from binding. Rest of book complete and not foxing, but age hued. Gold page edging all round. ~*~ 25 full page illustrations by W. Holman Hunt E. Burne Jones W. Millais J. Tenniel P.H. Calderon G. Thomas O.
