Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Paragon, Double Warrant - Late 1930's - Pink Rose and Floral Bowl Motif - Cobalt and Gold Tea Cup and Saucer. MINT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! This graceful and elegant tea cup is in excellent condition and I suspect has rarely been used, on inspection, I could not fine a mark on either the cup or saucer. The tea cup is round shape with a slightly scalloped gold rim, gold detailed handle and gold detailed pedestal base. The main color of the set is an ethereal shade of delicate ecru the bowl featuring pink and cream colored roses, spring flowers and green leaf detail with cobalt blue borders and gold floral and scroll accents. The saucer mirrors the inside of the cup and both pieces are in mint condition with no cracks, chips, fading or loss to the color or design. I would safely guess that the set dates from the late 1930's. The set is marked on the bottom with the familiar Paragon double warrant mark, Fine Bone China, England and the number -A2204F- I'm not that familiar with English porcelains, the marks are shown and I'm sure the Paragon collectors will be able to put an exact date on the set, if you have any information about the marks please feel free to e-mail. Aynsley has always been known for fine quality porcelains and this enchanting and hypnotic example will read more
